The sea glass I carry is all manufactured. It's beautiful, matted glass. The matting won't come off; it's not a coating. The colors are saturated and beautiful and you can get shapes with manufactured sea glass you won't see in nature. (The beach is so good about breaking glass up into tiny pieces!) I've always told my customers that if you like the color and the bead is great, buy it. Work with it. What matters in the end is that you're getting something YOU like!

This seaglass focal is lovely! Looks exactly like the pics and is a good weight and size for a necklace. (Too large for earrings, btw). I plan to create a necklace of mop beads and seaglass, and this beautiful smooth starfish will be the perfect focal point!
