These beads measure (not exactly) 2mm square. The strands come 25" long, with about 300 beads per strand. These spacers are handmade in Africa. I've actually woven them together as well as strung them and the sizing has worked nicely for both applications. The beads are seamed and hollow. Yes, plating wears.
