They feature a subtly textured surface with a pearlescent sheen that catches the light beautifully and add yet another layer of "handmade" and "artisan" to all your creations. Cotton pearls are made from compressed cotton with a pearl coating instead of urea resin or glass. This causes each bead to be much lighter than usual pearls. Cotton pearls are NOT water safe - please make sure you include a "care and use" label will all jewelry made with cotton pearls that it must be removed before hand washing :)
